Pentel Announces Fiat 500 Winner
Maria Arlene dela Cruz, an office manager from Feltham in Middlesex, has won the enormously popular ‘retro chic’ Fiat, which has caused a sensation since it was awarded European Car of the Year in 2008.
The on-pack end-user promotion, channelled through the dealer community in the UK and Ireland via the wholesalers, was offered on a wide range of key Pentel products, using a unique reference number printed on a label attached to each box of products.
The winner works for Feltham-based Premier European Logistics, and bought Pentel’s quick-drying EnerGel X rollerball from her OP supplier, Talking Business. Maria’s name was drawn at random from thousands of entries across the UK and Ireland.
Commenting on her success when she received her car from Pentel managing director Eiichi Hatsumi at the company’s office in Swindon Maria said, “I was amazed when I heard I’d won this great car! It’s a fantastic prize and I’m so excited to drive it. I bought the Pentel EnerGel X pen because of its quick drying ink. In my opinion nothing looks worse than ink smudges on paper and hands, but with EnerGel that’s a problem I don’t have to worry about.”
Wendy Vickery, Pentel Marketing Manager, said, “The promotion gave end-users purchasing from their regular stationery supplier the chance to win this iconic car, worth £10,000. The products featured in the promotion included tried and trusted favourites such as the N50 permanent marker, but also some of the newer members of the EnerGel family which are rapidly becoming the next generation of must-have products for the office from Pentel.”
