‘Wish you were here’ holiday postcard

Using our Colour Brush Pens, Nicola builds up layers of colour to create a vibrant tropical landscape, from the soft blue sky to the turquoise sea and golden sandy beach. By blending the ink with water, she creates a beautiful watercolour effect, adding further layers to build depth and intensity throughout the scene.

Once the background is dry, Nicola uses the fine and broad tips of the Brush Sign Twin to bring the palm tree to life, using the finer tip for the delicate leaves and smaller details, while the broader tip adds richer areas of colour. Milky Brush Pens are then used to add the finishing touches, including highlights to the tree and waves across the sea.

To complete the postcard, Nicola adds the words “Wish you were here” in flowing hand-lettering — the perfect sentiment for a scene inspired by sunshine, sea and summer memories.
